Charcoal Ondol is planned as a system: panels, tubing, manifolds, valves, thermostats and heat-source coordination all need to work together for reliable radiant floor comfort.
1/2 in. brass valve (V-15)
A brass valve component used to help control hydronic heating flow at the manifold.
Proportional control actuator (D-22)
A zone-control actuator for room-by-room hydronic heating operation.
Central thermostat (S-19)
A central thermostat for managing the heating system from one primary control point.
Room thermostat (S-29)
A room-level thermostat for zoning comfort by bedroom, living area or commercial room.
Stainless steel manifold (M-20)
A stainless manifold for distributing heating water across planned radiant floor zones.
Start with the floor assembly
Confirm subfloor, floor height, moisture, finish flooring and furniture loads before choosing the final layout.
Size the mechanical system
Hydronic projects should be reviewed for heat loss, water temperature, manifold design, pumps and controls.
Coordinate installation sequence
Panel delivery, tubing layout, pressure testing and finish flooring should be scheduled before the project starts.
Product selection should follow the project design.
The right component list depends on heated area, room zoning, manifold location, tubing layout, heat-source capacity and finish flooring. A small bathroom comfort-warming project is planned differently than a whole basement, wellness studio or premium new-build living area.
